YOUR COLORADO ELK HUNT PLAN

Areas 12, 13, 23, 24 1st Rifle Elk Hunt

Consider These Tactics:

  • Ride in the dark to get to glassing knobs on time

  • Key in on steepest country for elk herds that have been pressured

  • Time storms for good glassing and elk movement

Important Notes:

  • These units can be busy

  • Big optics are highly recommended

  • Some roads are rough for horse trailers
