Consider These Tactics:

  • Night Calling From Roads

  • Sitting Vantages Above Water

  • Glassing Burns

  • Dragging Tanks for Tracks

Important Notes:

  • Elk can be scattered during this time, but hard to pinpoint because of the many roads and flat country. If you find recent sign on water, sit it, glass it, or track them out.

  • Night bugling near tanks or feeding areas will be most effective since it’s flat terrain.
