WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING ABOUT 18/181
”Hunted this otc archery last 3 years spend the entire season out there. Tagged out first year and second year. Lots more hunters out last year especially during ML season. Didn’t get one last year but had a ton of encounters. Just couldn’t seal the deal. I like the unit quite a bit. Never had a bad hunt.”
”I hunted in 2023 around the Troublesome Pass area. Saw one good bull but couldn’t get him close enough for a shot. There’s elk there but alot of burn and hard to get up with them.”
“The west border 181 and 18 is main fork Troublesome creek. I was up hunting 18 last year and filled my elk tag and left mid day on wed. I was on east side elk mt and drove down to Hwy 125.”
“Some people said they saw elk in the burned areas but the elk left at daybreak and did not return until right before dark.”
“There are elk there, but they're going to take some walking to get to. Lots of road hunters on the Kawuneeche Trail #120 and going up to north and south Troublesome Creeks. Use them to your advantage as they seem to funnel the cows.”
