WYOMING 2025 RECOMMENDATIONS

    Oct. 1-Dec. 31, 2025

    A classic elk hunt, you can choose to go to the high country parks and find elk using meadows and possibly bugling still in early October, or wait until the snow flies and it pushes large cow herds into lower elevation sage brush and grass slopes.

  • 100% Drawing Odds

    Oct. 10-Dec. 31, 2025
    (Off National Forest)

    Better drawing odds, this tag will be focused on using smaller sections of state and BLM lands north of Kaycee to find cow elk on public lands. You may hike way into the Wilderness Study Areas here if you are interested in getting away from folks on the opener.
